AG dolls with loose legs

I have had my AG doll, Kit, for almost 4 years now. Even though I have taken wonderful care for her over those years, her legs are very loose and she can't stand really great. Does anyone else have this problem with their doll? I am thinking of upgrading her... but there is no money in the bank [img]frown.gif[/img] . When I went to the AGPC last month they told me that the doll's legs are supposed to loosen over time. But should her legs be so bad that she can't even stand up? Any advice or tips are welcome!

they shouldn't be that loose. My well played with Samantha is 12 years old, and she can still stand. AG does limb tightening at the hospital, but some members of the board know how to do it themselves, and I'm sure they'd help you out! Good Luck!

Oh Yes! I have this problem with almost all my old dolls! Especially Felicity (since I've had her for 6 years now). What helps for me is to put them in really sturdy shoes. especially boots. They seem to fall over more with bare feet. Good Luck!

My out-of-the-box Felicity had that problem, and AG is sending me a new one.

With older dolls, I think that the AG Hospital is capable of fixing them. [img]smile.gif[/img]

My daughter has Kit and we've had the same problem with legs coming really loose. She just mentioned it to me today. We also had the same problem with the arms and one of the arms actually fell off. I sent her to the AG hospital and they reattached it. If this keeps happening though, I'm going to try and get them to replace it.

My pre-mattel felicity doll has very loose legs too. I have looked at the re-stringing page and find it incredably daunting. I'm too afraid to try it.
It's too bad cause she is absolutly beautiful!
